I watched a number of films this year and as many as were being churned out in all the zones, I had to pin-point my search to specifics. As a filmmaker, with many years of experience to my credit, I know good acting when I see it. Acting is inborn while talent is general but depth in acting is few among actors. And so, my blog has decided to award and possibly reward actors with citations and accolades for their art in a preceding and current year. I and my editorial staff think this will be a good and unbiased reward system. I drew up my conclusions about the names on this list after watching them in stand-out roles in some movies released in late 2012 to the last quarter of 2013. I consulted a few of my colleagues about my list; tested film directors and there was an unanimity on 70% of the criteria I used in arriving at my conclusion. They all

CELEBRITY BIRTHDAY: YVONNE OKORO BUILDS PLAYGROUND FOR PRIMARY SCHOOL, COMMISSIONED IT TO MARK BIRTHDAY

What a special way to celebrate a birthday, putting smile on other people's face. Yesterday was beautiful actress Yvonne Okoro;s birthday and she celebrated it by commissioning the playground she built for pupils of the Dzorwulu Special School, with the Minister of Education Ghana Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa.

The actress says she was inspired to build the playground when she saw the deplorable state in which it was two years ago when she spent her birthday with the pupils. The headmistress of the school, Mrs.Veronica Quarshie, was full of gratitude to the actress for building the playground which she says “will be of great benefit to the pupils”.

ACTRESS YVONNE OKORO TO START REALITY TV SHOW WITH SISTERS

The actress will start her reality show with her sisters in the first quarter of 2014. The show has been titled the First Ladies. Yvonne will also be having a separate talk show, Dining With Yvonne and it will be aired about the same time. She has started shooting the episodes (a picture below proves it). Michael Djaba, the ceo of IFactorylive, who the reality show would be on his platform has this to say;

We are working with Yvonne and her sisters on one of our reality shows called First Ladies, so it was a natural fit when her company, Desamour came to us to produce Dining With Yvonne. Yvonne is the consummate professional and will show a different side to her personality in the TV talk show realm. One more picture below...
